For those who want a more authentic representation of their art, The Framer’s Loft can have your paper based prints and posters transferred onto canvas. Using a proprietary (and rather mysterious) process, the inks from a paper image are separated from the paper and embedded onto high quality artist canvas. This process results in the picture having the look and feel of a rich canvas texture with a lustrous sheen – a look and feel true to the original oil painting.
Additionally clear acrylic highlights (“brush stokes”) can be added in the style of the original art e.g. for paintings in the Impressionist era; or, for images of the old masters e.g. for paintings in the Renaissance era, the canvas can be “aged and cracked” giving it a more realistic looking antique appearance.
Once transferred onto canvas, the art can then be stretched onto a wooden strainer just like an original oil painting.

While The Framer’s Loft maintains a small inventory of prints and posters, we are not known as an art gallery. However, we may be able to help you locate and procure specific items. Whether an open or limited edition on the primary or secondary art market, we provide links to aid you in finding that print or poster.
If you’d like to try to locate a specific print or poster, choose the Resources button in the Other Services Menu on the left. Under the Prints and Posters sub heading, choose one of the three links and provide as much information as you can concerning the title of the art, the artist’s name, and any other information they request. If the print is out there, they can usually find it.
